This year I made a DIY advent calendar for my kids, using little stationery items and fun daily activities to help them enjoy the countdown to Christmas.

My little one just turned two, and he’s full of energy! As a mom, I often forget to give myself a moment to just breathe.

During the holidays, my family enjoys doing devotionals together, though we haven’t yet established a strict routine.

Around the holidays, I love experimenting with different cheesecake flavors inspired by the season. Most people stick with strawberry or classic cheesecake, but there are so many festive options to try—pumpkin, apple, eggnog, peppermint, and more.

This year‘s Awaken women’s retreat entitled, “Rooted in Radiance,” took place in Stevens, Pennsylvania, at the beautiful Refreshing Mountain Retreat and Adventure Center, from Thursday evening until Sunday morning, October 23 to the 26th.

On November 19, Sacred First Nations for Peace and the Women’s Federation for World Peace USA (WFWP USA) co-hosted a heartfelt virtual gathering titled “Celebrating Life and Unity: Honoring the Spirit of Thanksgiving – Grateful to God, Open to One Another.”

On November 15, 2025, the Maine chapter held its annual Schools of Africa (SOA) fundraiser at the Spring Point Marina Boathouse

The Women’s Federation for World Peace – Hawai‘i Chapter partnered with SRTell (Scream, Run & Tell organization) to host an activity booth at the Hawai‘i Children & Youth Day 32nd Anniversary on October 5, 2025, held at the State Capitol, Kalanimoku grounds, and Punchbowl Street.

WFWP-HI, attended the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary "Coffee and Conversation" event on October 10, 2025, in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

On October 26, 2025, the WFWP Hawaiʻi Chapter hosted its inaugural Craft and Bake Sale at the Hawaiian Mission Academy Ka Lama Ike in Honolulu.

Our chapter held its annual fundraising event on November 23, 2025, featuring a heartfelt sermon by Myrna Lapres, who shared about her recent trip to Rwanda with a small group of WFWP members.

On November 24, 2025, the WFWP-HI Chapter and the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) supported the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP) Hawai‘i chapter in hosting the youth-led second series of Peace Starts with Me Alliance: Youth Voices for Religious Liberty

On November 8th, we hosted our BOP event at the Ohio Family Church Center, welcoming twenty-five participants, including five newcomers.

For this month’s Self-Care Isn’t Selfish webinar, Liisa Freystaetter presented on “Creating the Life Your Heart Truly Desires,” inspired by Karol K. Truman’s book Feelings Buried Alive Never Die.

On November 22, Ohio held its PSWM Tea with Intention gathering from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. Despite careful preparation, the turnout was smaller than expected, with 10 participants.

On November 25, Gale and Antonio Alves participated in the annual Grand Valley Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration, held at the American Lutheran Church in Grand Junction, Colorado. This year’s theme was “Hope in Action,” and twelve churches and community organizations were represented.
