“Sparkling German Foil Star Ornaments + Holiday Magic

Our family didn’t have a ton of Christmas traditions but one thing I absolutely loved was making German Christmas foil star ornaments with my mom. It was such a simple activity, yet so magical to see the stars come to life.

They show a stencil, but honestly, you don’t need one—it’s fun to do it your way!

Our method was super simple:

• Grab a bowl or anything round to trace a circle

• Fold it into eighths

• Cut along the folds to make 8 even sections

• Roll each section into a star point

• Watch your handmade stars sparkle and shine on the tree

And of course, no December is complete without my all-time favorite: a full Harry Potter marathon. There’s just something about cozying up with magic, adventure, and nostalgia that makes the holidays feel truly special.
