Honoring a Heart of Service: Daisy Joya

In the spirit of recognizing those who quietly transform lives through acts of compassion, WFWP Hackensack proudly honored Daisy Joya of Ridgefield Park for her unwavering dedication to serving the people of her hometown of Lolotiquillo, El Salvador.

Together with her brothers and sisters, Daisy has faithfully organized and shipped boxes of clothing, medical supplies, kitchenware, and other essential items to families in need. During visits home, they also bring fresh food and eggs to neighbors, offering both practical assistance and hope.

Lolotiquillo is located near the Honduras border, an area that has faced longstanding challenges and uncertainty. Through Daisy's family's efforts, much-needed support continues to reach the community. Her sister, who works at a local elementary school, plays a vital role by helping distribute the donated supplies to children and their families.

Daisy's selfless commitment reflects the power of compassion in action. Her example reminds us that even simple acts of generosity can bring comfort, strengthen communities, and inspire others to become ambassadors of peace and service.
