WFWP Ohio 4th of July Parade

This year marked our second year participating in the Community Fourth of July Parade, making it another meaningful opportunity to engage with our local community and share our vision of building peace.

One of the highlights was the wonderful support from our women members, who walked alongside our brothers and our NGM members who were visiting Columbus and eager to participate in service activities. At the invitation of Pastor Yasu, they enthusiastically joined us, bringing great energy and joy throughout the parade.

Our group featured four decorated vehicles displaying the WFWP logo and a QR code, making it easy for community members to learn more about our organization. Our youth added excitement by singing, smiling, and interacting with the crowd, while some of the adults rode in the vehicles due to the intense summer heat.

A particularly memorable moment came when WFWP was introduced over the parade's public announcement system and our mission statement was read aloud for everyone along the parade route to hear. It was a proud opportunity to share our purpose with the broader community, and we hope many spectators noticed our QR code and will take the opportunity to learn more about our work.

Following the parade, everyone gathered at the church for fellowship and lunch. We shared pizza, celebrated the success of the day, and enjoyed spending time together. It was a wonderful conclusion to an inspiring event that strengthened our community bonds while increasing awareness of WFWP's mission of fostering peace through the empowerment of women and families.
