Celebrating Women Who Serve: WFWP-HI Joins AMVETS Volunteer Luncheon

On July 11, 2026, WFWP-HI members joined the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary-HI 0001 for its 1st Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon at the Kapilina Community Center. The gathering celebrated the dedication of volunteers who serve Hawaiʻi’s veterans and strengthened the ongoing partnership between WFWP-HI and AMVETS.

A special highlight was the recognition of WFWP-HI member and former AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary President Yuriko Harding, who received the Volunteer of the Year Award for her outstanding service. Other WFWP members also contributed their time and talents to help make the luncheon a success.

The event was more than a celebration—it reflected a shared commitment to caring for those who have served our nation. Through their ongoing work, AMVETS volunteers provide encouragement and meaningful support to veterans in hospitals and nursing homes throughout Hawaiʻi.
