On August 24, 2025, the Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) Ohio chapter successfully launched a fundraising campaign at the Ohio Family Church in Columbus, OH, raising both funds and hope for the Schools of Africa Project.

The program was highlighted by the keynote address of Mrs. Marilyn Angelucci, President of WFWP Afghanistan and Vice President of FFWPU in Europe and the Middle East. She emphasized that true service extends beyond material donations. While contributions of $20, $50, or $100 may seem modest in the U.S., such amounts can transform lives in less fortunate nations.

Drawing from her experiences in Africa, the Middle East, the Philippines, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, Mrs. Angelucci shared moving testimonies of hardship and resilience. More importantly, she stressed that providing education, dignity, and love leaves a deeper and longer-lasting impact. She reminded the audience that America, as a nation blessed with wealth and strength, carries the responsibility of acting as an elder sibling nation to the world.

The event was also honored by Dr. Katarina Connery, President of WFWP USA, who spoke passionately about the Schools of Africa and shared heartfelt testimonies from students whose lives have been touched by this initiative. Their gratitude illustrated the far-reaching impact of education and international solidarity.

The audience of more than 100 people—spanning generations—was deeply moved by the vision and testimonies of the two outstanding women leaders. The most remarkable outcome of the campaign was the achievement and surpassing of its original goal of $3,000, with a final total of $4,700 raised. These funds will directly support schools in Rwanda, Mozambique, Kenya, Liberia, and Guinea Bissau.

This success was made possible under the leadership of Mrs. Fatou Gaye Sarr and the dedicated members of the WFWP Ohio chapter.

With utmost gratitude and respect, participants also honored Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, founder of WFWP International, who affirmed: “The time has come for the true power of womanhood to save the world.”
