Living the Golden Age: A Woman’s Personal Journey with Heavenly Parent

By Yejin Ang

This article is a call to all women, from every walk of life. As I reflected on what Heavenly Parent might want women to hear at this time, the theme of empowerment came to me.

Mother Moon, Holy Mother Han, describes this current age—this moment in history—as “the golden age.” What makes this time so significant? One clear shift we see today is in our attitudes toward the relationship between men and women.

But I would say it is not only women themselves who need empowerment. It is also the very nature of women—our divine femininity and grace—that must be celebrated and welcomed into society. Too often, our culture glorifies the hustle, placing a heavy weight on our backs, especially for those working in businesses and corporations. The rewarding rush of climbing the corporate ladder tempts us to measure our value by our accomplishments. If we achieve, we are valued. But when we fall short—when our desire for recognition goes unmet—we keep piling on achievements in hopes that the next one will finally make us happy.

It is as if we need society’s permission to believe that we are valued, precious, and needed. Accomplishments and standards certainly matter, but they are only half the picture. A flourishing life also requires growth, nourishment, care, and understanding. Without prioritizing rest, affection, and compassion, life becomes like a football game—where only half the people on the field can win.

Throughout history, many aspects of Heavenly Parent’s love have been undervalued. In particular, Heavenly Mother has been overlooked and pushed aside. Being supportive and responsive, rather than initiating, has too often been seen as weakness. Because women are often more responsive by nature, society has mistakenly treated us as less than.

But who can bring Heavenly Mother’s divine nature to light? It is women—the divine embodiments of God.

Women are uniquely capable of healing the world because what the world most needs is already within us. People do not need more correction, instruction, or direction. What they truly long for is to be embraced—not for what they have done, but simply for who they are.

Let me share one example of how I’ve embraced my own divine gift of femininity. My current career path is to become a therapist for those struggling with mental illness or neurological disorders. Choosing this path took conviction. My father discouraged it, fearing the lack of financial stability. Yet I have always been fascinated by therapy, because I see how people who are struggling yearn for someone to listen and embrace them. To me, therapists are like (paid) mother figures. Their role is to support clients and offer them a healthy perspective on their situations. I even believe Heavenly Parent relies on therapists to help care for God’s children in ways that their spouses or parents cannot.

Looking at myself, I know I have a caring, nurturing nature. I have also faced my own challenges with mental health. Though therapy is not the most lucrative field—and it can be time-consuming and emotionally draining—I believe my mission is tied to it. Through this work, I can represent God, caring for and supporting people as they move toward lives of mental and emotional peace. Because I am aware of my divine instinct to protect and nurture, I want to share this gift with those in desperate need of help.

Each of us has passions and gifts waiting to be discovered. With the divine energy and healing spirit God has given us as women, we hold a secret weapon to heal the world. We can embrace, uplift, and support others. So I ask you, as you read this: what is your divine gift? How might you share it with the world through your passion?

Your gift might show itself in creating beautiful paintings that reveal the wonder of Heavenly Parent’s creation. It might be found in teaching preschool, nurturing children who need love and support as they grow. Whatever form it takes, your gift is needed. No matter your race, religion, or background, God’s divine feminine nature is planted within you—and Heavenly Parent needs you.

I encourage you to take time to reflect on what passion you can offer the world. Chances are, the love you pour into your gift could make all the difference in today’s society.
