WFWP Los Angeles Chapter Relaunch
Written by: Meagan Robles
On September 20, the Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) Los Angeles Chapter held its official relaunch at the Los Angeles Family Church, honoring outgoing Chairwoman Emma Reed and installing the new Chairwoman, Meagan Robles. The event was held under the theme, “Renewing Our Motherly Hearts and Rising Together as a Sisterhood,” reflecting the chapter’s commitment to unity and growth as part of the Peace Starts With Me Alliance.
The program was co-hosted by WFWP National President, Dr. Katarina Connery, alongside the Peace Starts With Me (PSWM) Los Angeles team, and featured the pilot launch of a new Global Women’s Peace Network (GWPN) initiative titled “Peace Starts With Me: Tea with Intentions.” This program offers an educational and experiential format designed to foster collaboration, cultivate inner peace, and strengthen shared values among participants. The inaugural session welcomed 16 new PSWM Alliance members, each pledging to support the peace vision of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon and participate in the next five Tea with Intentions meetings.
Earlier in the year, the chapter also initiated HerTribe, part of WFWP’s national grassroots campaign. HerTribe provides monthly gatherings at LAFC where women can explore the feminine aspect of the Heavenly Parent, deepen sisterhood, and strengthen the foundation of peace through personal and communal transformation.
Looking ahead, WFWP Los Angeles aims to advance peacebuilding efforts through a multi-level approach—beginning with individual development (HerTribe), extending to community engagement (Tea with Intentions), and expanding to the national level through upcoming programs such as the Awaken Retreat and the Bridge of Peace. Centered around Monterey Park and with LAFC serving as its training facility, the chapter is committed to realizing the vision of True Parents by cultivating a “garden of heart” in Los Angeles.
