Dear friend,

We have arrived at the beginning of a new school year, autumn, and, most importantly, harvest time. It is usually a joyful time of gathering the fruits planted earlier in the year and celebrating life.

There are many harvest moments also to be found within each of our lives. Sometimes we get to celebrate them while we are still alive, while, in other cases, our lives are remembered as our legacy after our passing. Those who invest their gifts, talents, and passion and pursue a higher vision or goal leave behind not only a trail for others to follow but a legacy to admire and emulate. They are truly "lightworkers," uplifting and transforming others, and are beacons of peace right in the midst of a confused and pained world.

Each of us can be such a lightworker wherever we are, making an impact and inspiring others in our own unique way, such as the great singer Aretha Franklin, who left a powerful legacy through her music and song.

We especially give honor and celebrate our Co-founder this month, Dr. Sun Myung Moon, who passed away on September 2, 2012, in Korea and who has taught us through his own example that the best of way of bringing peace and living a life of joy and fulfillment lies in the simple words of “Living for the Sake of Others.”

With that thought in mind, I hope you thoroughly enjoy reading this September issue of the Logic of Love.

As an action step, I would like to invite you to celebrate someone you know in your life, and by doing so, you will elevate yourself!

Angelika Selle
