The Women’s Federation for World Peace, Washington DC chapter commemorated Mother’s Day during Sunday Service on May 27, 2018 at the Washington DC Family Church. WFWP members gave roses to all the women in the congregation and those who were not in the room, too.

WFWP DC Chairwoman Elizabeth Aihe spoke in front of the congregation accompanied by the co-chair, Mrs. Jane Karimi.

Ms. Aihe started by saying, on behalf of WFWP DC chapter, “I would like to honor you and show appreciation for all you do; you uplift, empower, inspire, and take care of your families and community at large. We appreciate you. Thank you!”

She continued to say that the rose symbolizes a true mother’s love, and urged the women to receive this love and continue spreading it not only in their families, but also to the community and the whole world.

Paul Aihe and other young people came up to help hand out the roses. All the mothers were moved by this gesture. This was a token of love to all these special women.

To mothers everywhere: WFWP USA would like to thank you for the sacrifice, love, dedication, and compassion you shine upon everyone around you! So many things would not be possible without your selfless contributions.
