The New Jersey chapter has recently concluded its first prayer study group of the new year, facilitated by Mrs. Marguerite Dabis. Every Wednesday at 11am – 12:30 pm, five participants regularly attended in the WFWP reading room at 521 Van Houten Avenue in Clifton, NJ.

Each session began with a reading and discussion of a chapter of the book, "The Power of Praying for Your Adult Children", from the series of books written by Mrs. Stormie Omartian. The text is superbly composed and offers deep insights, with many personal experiences and examples of how the author, as a mother together with her "prayer partners," turned tragic situations in the lives of their children, into triumphs.

The book teaches the parent how to be detailed and specific in one's conversation with God, regarding the very real daily issues, dangers and temptations that all children face in today's world.  Each chapter deals with a different issue children will confront, and the chapter closes with a sample prayer specifically addressing that issue.

Each participant in turn, prays for one another's children by name—making it very personal and often deeply moving. The session would end with spontaneous sharing and support for each other within a safe, caring and always confidential environment.

The closeness, trust, and depth of the relationships developed exponentially with every passing week. All participants without exception have experienced personal revelation and sometimes miraculous breakthrough moments with their children. This opportunity inspired and encouraged the participants to continue with a spring session which will focus on interceding in their husband's life.

This next book is entitled: "The Power of a Praying Wife".
With continued participation or new registrations, the spring session will run from:
April 18-June 13 (9 weeks).
