"LEAD WITH LOVE, NOT FEAR" TELE-CLASS

As a way of providing ongoing professional development opportunities to empower the local chapters, WFWP USA recently offered chapter chairwomen a five-week tele-class entitled, "Lead with Love, Not Fear." The developers and facilitators of this course are Mrs. Hilde Reinold Wiemann who is a Certified Life Coach and Family and Relationship Coach, and Mrs. Pamela Stein, former WFWP Las Vegas chairwoman and missionary in Africa. She has also been a massage therapist and wellness coach for over 25 years. Over the years, Hilde and Pam have developed two parenting manuals and their "Core Relationship Wisdom" women's small group manual will be published in June 2014. A reflection on the course follows.

As chairwoman in Upstate New York, I jumped on the opportunity to become part of the "Lead With Love, Not Fear" five-week tele-class series presented by Mrs. Hilde Wiemann and Mrs. Pamela Stein. About 40 WFWP chairladies and interested members participated in the series.

We were introduced to the core teaching of "Real Love," by Dr. Greg Baer, as it applies to us WFWP leaders. We found many points where this content could truly enable us to be more effective, happy, healthy, wholesome leaders of WFWP -- as well as excellent members of our families and communities.

Four study guides guided our journey. The first, "Knowing Ourself," was about unconditional love, "love languages," communication skills, and how to design the next steps toward the life we want. The second study guide was about the root of "Why Can I Not Do What I Want to Do?" The third was "Reclaiming Health and Wholeness" and the fourth explored "Living Love and Loving Life at High Noon."
Hilde and Pam shared the main tenets of the Real Love Curriculum. They shared personal stories of how this content has changed their lives and the lives of the many people they have counseled over the years.

Many of the WFWP participants shared how deep and eye-opening this class was for them. We were all very grateful for Hilde and Pam sharing this wisdom with us. We felt it would enrich us as leaders when we apply it to our lives. We also felt we could start small groups centered on this Real Love Curriculum as a way to offer support and healing to ourselves, our families, and our community members.

Along with the enlightening material we received in each tele-conference, we were given "assignments" to study and fill out. These helped us to personally get involved and see concretely how this knowledge could heal and enrich our lives and leadership styles. One assignment asked us to "identify our getting and protecting behaviors." This was eye-opening and provided an understanding of how our reactions sometimes prevent us from receiving Real Love. We also shaded in our own "wheel of life." We learned that if we are not in balance, nothing works quite right. If we want more energy and peace, we need to balance all areas of our life.

I appreciate being exposed to all this material, and I learned so many deeper truths that are empowering me to become a more effective leader and woman. We have learned from Father Moon, co-founder of WFWP, that now is the time to live in "high noon." The Real Love curriculum teaches us just that. Now we are all eager to truly put it into practice, to lead with love, not fear.
