On September 9th, I attended a book signing at Books or Books in Las Vegas. One of the featured authors was Cynthia de Boer, author of Me, Myself, and Eye. She became a member of WFWP after she experienced the Bridge of Peace Ceremony at the International Peace Education Center (IPEC) in Las Vegas this past March 21st. I purchased her book for my nephew in Colorado who also lost his eye, at age six due to a tragic accident. I know he will be as inspired to read Cynthia's book about her journey and how she is helping others as I was. I spent some time talking with Cynthia and the other two authors, and what a wonderful time we had sitting around laughing and sharing stories! It was as if we ladies had known each other forever and had no barriers. After the event, we continued our conversations at a nearby restaurant. This month Cynthia included my story about meeting Mother Teresa on her website in a section called "Share Your Story"

Judy Shine Logan was another featured author at the book signing, and her book, Shelter Me, is helping me understand my sister, who suffered from decades of spousal abuse. Judy will attend our October 30th WFWP event here in Las Vegas titled "How to Turn Your Fear Into Faith." I loved connecting with these ladies. Books are a great tool for connecting with other people.
