MOLLY BROWN TOUR

For our January 2011 program we did a tour of The "Unsinkable" Molly Brown Home in Denver.  She is one of the survivors of the "Titanic." This is what most people know of her, but she was an advocate of children, miners, and animals; she helped the other survivors of the Titanic with her time, money, and material items; and she ran for the Senate three times before women had the right to vote.

Her home was beautiful and charmingly Victorian in every way. All of us left the tour invigorated by the realization that one person can achieved a lot for the greater good.

We all walked to a nearby restaurant and over lunch we discussed what we gained from the Molly Brown tour.  And we each shared about a special woman in our lives that touched us deeply.  We concluded by reading aloud the vision and principles of WFWP/WIM.
