BREAKING THE TABOO: WFWP VIDEO SHEDS LIGHT ON THE GROWING AWARENESS OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT

WFWP Administrator Kiyomi Schmidt was inspired to see and hear the growing public awareness about sexual integrity through the “metoo” hashtag on social media.

She created a virtual meeting of activists to share their personal stories about sexual harassment and its effects. She recorded and shared it as an online video series. The masculine and feminine angle, the children and adult angle, the local and global angle, all became part of the bigger conversation.

If we don’t talk about this toxic culture, if it is kept “taboo,” then we cannot change it.
