MS. EVELYNE DRAKE SPEAKS ON SERVICE PROJECTS IN HAITI

Evelyne Drake, WFWP Tampa chapter leader, a native of Haiti, was the motivating force behind the Haiti Relief Project. Desperate to do something for her native land, she traveled there in February 2010 with a team from the Christian Disaster Response. Beginning in the summer of 2008, WFWP, USA volunteers went to Haiti with Mrs. Drake to participate in service projects, along with volunteers from the International Relief Friendship Foundation (IRFF). That year, they painted a high school in Port-au-Prince and helped a medical project in Cap-Hatian. In the summer of 2009, they helped with a tree planting project in a rural area, as well as with medical assistance activities.
