PSWMA Interfaith Harmony Week-Colorado
Colorado, Our Interfaith Sharing group, along with one guest, celebrated World Interfaith Harmony Week on February 19, 2026, graciously hosted in the home of a Baha’i member. The gathering began with participants taking turns reading the history and significance of the week, which was proposed by H. M. King Abdullah of Jordan and unanimously adopted by the UN on October 20, 2010. Its foundation rests on two universal religious commandments: Love of God and Love of Neighbor.
We then held a candle ceremony, standing in a circle and lighting our candles from one another as each person shared why interfaith harmony is meaningful to them. Soon, the circle was aglow, accompanied by readings of inspiring quotes from spiritual founders on love, peace, and harmony. Representatives from the Baha’i faith, United Methodist Church, Latter Day Saints, Christian Science, and the Peace Starts with Me Alliance joined in.
The conversation flowed naturally, with participants sharing ways to put their beliefs into action to foster harmony in society. The event concluded warmly with fellowship and refreshments, leaving everyone uplifted and encouraged.
