President’s Corner: Much to Be Grateful For
Dear friends,
What a milestone year and milestone month, as we commemorate the founding of WFWP International 30 years ago on April 10, 1992, the conferral 25 years ago of the UN's NGO General Consultative Status on May 5, 1997, and the launch 10 years ago of the Global Women's Peace Network, a project of WFWP, on July 16, 2012!
So much to celebrate, and so much to be grateful for!
We thank especially our esteemed Co-Founders, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon and her late husband, Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, for their vision and divine inspiration to launch this providential organization!
A special thanks and our gratitude go to our beloved Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the Mother of Peace, who has been our shining example of true womanhood, as she truly has paved the way for ALL women to find their original value and purpose as intended by the Creator. (Below, you can read excerpts of her founding speeches in "The Heart Behind WFWP.")
We thank Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon for her undying love, service, unspeakable sacrifices, and endless efforts to make the vision and dream of God for worldwide PEACE a reality. We thank her for inspiring millions, especially at this time of global crisis! Yet, there is indeed a story behind the story, which you can read in her memoir, "Mother of Peace: And God Shall Wipe Away All Tears From Their Eyes," available on Amazon for only $2.23. You will be moved and reenergized!
I cannot express enough our heartfelt congratulations and deepest thanks to all women (and their supportive husbands, fathers, and brothers), who have gone before us and created the foundation for this wonderful providential organization, with their tears and investments of motherly love!
So, now is the time to SHOW AND TELL about the rich internal content as well as the substantial track record and successes of WFWP, which I believe is an organization whose time has come!! It is indeed time for all of us to Shine!
