President's Corner: About Women's Leadership of the Heart
Dear friends,
I hope this letter finds you well!
As we just passed the half-year mark of 2021 and find ourselves in mid-July, I felt it might be a good time to remind ourselves and all those who have been supporting us what our vision, mission and work is all about in order to stay focused in the midst of challenges.
So, may I invite you to view a 15-minute video clip I created recently in which I give a brief overview and summary of who we are, where we are going, and what we do to implement our vision?
This video was created for the occasion of the Atlanta Family Church anniversary. WFWP was invited to address the topic "The New Age of Women in Leadership." So, while there are a couple of personal references to leaders present, you will get a good idea of the heart and soul behind our work.
In this first issue in July, you will also find articles and tips on "leadership of the heart," which is our number one area of focus; a summary of our recent Global Women's Peace Network (GWPN) forum on health and healing, which created great excitement and interest; and more.
We hope it gives you inspiration, insight and encouragement to go through challenging moments you might face in these summer months, and to let you know that if you are a woman, YOU ARE ALREADY A LEADER!
