Announcing new appointments at WFWP USA

Mr.s Osmarina Rush

Mr.s Osmarina Rush

Women’s Federation for World Peace USA is excited to announce that we are welcoming new leadership in the Southeast and Midwest regions! Our organization operates under a structure of five regions that cover the entire country, and the regional coordinators play a key role in guiding and supporting the local chapters in their states.

The new Southeast Regional Coordinator is Mrs. Osmarina Rush of Virginia, who has graciously taken on this role in addition to managing her full time job and other responsibilities. She has a passion for outreach and is very excited to be working with the local WFWP chairwomen and representatives in Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

She will be taking over the position from Mrs. Natascha Phillips, who had been the regional coordinator since last November but is going on maternity leave as of March 2021. We wish her well on her exciting new phase of life!

Mrs. Sahara Cardenas is joining us as the Midwest Regional Coordinator, with the support of her assistant Mrs. Denise To. Based in Illinois, Sahara and her husband have six children and she is currently homeschooling the younger ones. She is delighted to join the WFWP team and will be coordinating the chapters in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

We would like to recognize and thank our outgoing Midwest Regional Coordinator Minister. Fannie Smith, whose energetic and heartfelt investment uplifted all the WFWP leaders in the region! She continues to serve WFWP USA in her role as the Schools of Africa National Coordinator.

Finally, we have a new WFWP USA chairwoman to lead the Georgia chapter: Rev. Laury Hargrett. Rev. Hargrett has served in the Marine Corp for 30 years as a regional executive, has won many awards in the Navy and Marine Corps field, worked with women and youth and so much more.

We wholeheartedly congratulate all our new women leaders and look forward to wonderful developments in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as the Southeast and Midwest regions!
