Editor’s Note: WFWP Co-Founder Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon’s profound memoir is now available on Amazon both as paperback and on Kindle, and it has already touched the lives of so many women inspired by her life. In the article below, Dr. Margarett R. Best, an attorney-at-law and former parliamentarian in Ontario, Canada, shares her insights on the book’s title as she awaits her own copy of the memoir and how it has made her reflect on the current situation in America.

It is truly a blessing to look forward to the receipt of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon's (Mother Moon's) book, titled “Mother of Peace: And God Shall Wipe Away All Tears from Their Eyes.” This is a very special gift indeed.

Dr. Moon's life is an inspiration and I admire her for many reasons including her devotions to making the world a better, more peaceful place; her humbled demeanor in carrying on God's work as imprinted on the hearts of her and her late husband; and for the personal sacrifices she has made in recognition and actualization of the work God has called her to do.

I find it interesting that the title includes, "And God Shall Wipe Away All Tears from Their Eyes". I have pondered these very words for the past few days, in very profound thoughts and prayers. I feel so connected to Mother Moon through the spirit of God.

When we think of "tears", more often than not we think of "tears of sadness", but there are times when God wipes away the "sad tears" and replaces them with "tears of happiness"! That happened to me just today. Tears of happiness flowed, as I got word from my best friend's daughter that she had passed her examination to become a registered nurse, after a long and difficult journey. For me, it was just the morning after a night of in-depth communications and tearful prayers asking God to "wipe away my tears" and thanking him for the many miracles, for some of which I have taken the first step but have yet to see the staircase. I continue to remind myself that he tells us, "in his time, not ours".

Yes, 2020 is the year of the pandemic and a time when ancient unresolved issues of racism and inequality have taken center stage in the US. However, God gave us wisdom and knowledge to address these matters, for in him all hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge reside.

I addressed the pandemic in my speech in South Korea [this past February at the World Summit, which WFWP representatives attended], and I also highlighted the issue of racism and inequality in the US in my speech in Chicago [at the Midwest launch of GWPN in 2019]. The Divine Words tell us that my people perish because of the rejection and/or “lack of knowledge” [Hosea 4:6]. Everyday we see God's truth in those words, in the issues that are front and center in the US. The issues of the "pandemic" and the "racial/inequality issues" are literal manifestations of the depths of God's truth.

Nevertheless, despite all the ills in the world, God's miracles continue. In 2020, in this time so many issues, miracles continue in my life and in the lives of others daily. It is a miracle to be able to connect, spiritually, with Mother Moon and such incredible uplifting and empowering women, who are the epitome of strength, love and support.

I look forward to reading Mother Moon's book and to learning more about her incredible journey. I also look forward to having the opportunity to meet Mother Moon personally so I can thank her for taking up the mantle that God has purposed her for. She is truly special and a special gift to the world peace movement and to all who love her. I pray that God will give her the strength and perseverance to continue the work that he has called her to.
