Mika Deshotel joined the Women's Fed team in the summer of 2025, following her completion of the Doctor of Ministry program from HJ International Graduate School, with a special focus on intergenerational collaboration in faith communities. She is a longtime Secondary educator, teaching for over 15 years, and has served in a pastoral role for 7 years. 

Working with Women's Federation has been a long time dream for Mika, as she is passionate about empowering women, wives, and mothers in their unique and powerful roles as peacemakers. She is also a strong believer in the transformative power of strong and vibrant communities, which can also support and strengthen healthy families. For these reasons, she is thrilled to work in the capacity as HerTribe Director. 

Mika currently resides in Bridgeport, Connecticut with her husband, Abe, and four children. She enjoys yoga, learning to live a more holistic life, walking by the ocean each morning, and going on foodie adventures with Abe.
