Rev. Dr. Angela Shadd Kittrell

Rev. Dr. Angela Shadd Kittrell is a lifelong educator, minister, and community leader dedicated to service and transformation. Originally from Washington, DC, she has spent decades shaping lives as a teacher, principal, and school district leader, and currently serves as an Advanced Placement English teacher in Prince George’s County.

In ministry, she has pastored congregations in Maryland and served in leadership roles across AME and Baptist churches, while also founding Emmanuel Faith Ministries in Virginia. Her work extends globally, leading mission efforts in countries including South Africa, Ukraine, and Sierra Leone, where she supports educators and communities.

Rev. Kittrell has also served on numerous nonprofit boards and leads initiatives focused on equity, justice, and community development. She holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Doctor of Ministry, and continues to pursue further scholarship. Her life reflects a deep commitment to faith, education, and uplifting others.
