Uzma Ahmad

Uzma Ahmad is dedicated to creating a world where all children, especially the most vulnerable, have the resources and support they need to thrive. Born and raised in Washington, DC, as the first-born daughter of Pakistani immigrants, Uzma was instilled with the values of service, resilience, and community. These values have fueled her passion for justice and human rights, which she has channeled into her work in immigration law, where she has supported individuals and families navigating complex legal systems.

In 2017, driven by a deep belief in equity, honor, and opportunity for all children, Uzma co-founded BLOOM Charity. Through BLOOM’s programs, she expands access to mental health support, promotes early childhood development, and addresses food insecurity, ensuring vulnerable children receive the care, stability, and resources they need to flourish. She believes that true change arises when communities are empowered to shape their own futures, and her work reflects this commitment.

As a wife and mother of three, Uzma understands the importance of nurturing safe and supportive environments for children. Her efforts are grounded in the belief that every child deserves dignity, stability, and the chance to reach their full potential.
