Mrs. Kayo Masuda was awarded a HerStory Award at the 19th Annual Women's Assembly in New York City on August 4-6, 2011.

Mrs. Kayo Masuda is from Ohio, who despite suffering from Lupus for many years, continued to serve humanitarian missions in Africa and in Israel without complaint.
