APRIL GWPN FORUM: "Art touches heart: The Transformative Power of Creative Expression"

  • Women's Federation for World Peace USA 481 8th Ave. Suite 1228 New York, NY 10001 United States (map)

Art has long been recognized as a potent force that transcends boundaries, touching the very core of human emotions and experiences. From ancient cave paintings to modern-day masterpieces, art has served as a powerful medium for expressing ideas, emotions, and stories that words alone often cannot convey. "Art Touches Heart: The Transformative Power of Creative Expression" delves into this profound aspect of art, exploring how it has the remarkable ability to touch the depths of our souls and bring about transformative experiences.

Mother Moon greatly values art and culture. Artistically inclined herself, she and her late husband, Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, invested many resources into the arts. Through establishing groups such as the Little Angels of Korea, a children’s folk dance and singing troupe, and the Universal Ballet Company, the first company from Korea to perform internationally, she aimed to share the essence and original purpose of creative expression: to move hearts through expressing love, gratitude and devotion through beauty. In this forum, speakers will discuss the transformative power of creative expression, drawing from their own experiences as well as reflecting on the perspective of Mother Moon on this topic.

At its essence, this topic illuminates how art is not merely a visual or auditory experience but a deeply personal and emotional one. "Art Touches Heart" will celebrate the universal language of art, reminding us of its capacity to inspire, heal, and connect us all on a profound level.
