GWPN: Women as the Turning Point for Peace - Life During Covid

Dear Women Leaders, Women of Peace and Mothers,

We are excited to introduce the speaker line-up for our upcoming Global Women’s Peace Network event "Women as the Turning Point for Peace: Life During and After COVID" on Thursday, September 16, at 7:30 PM EDT.

Romelita “Millet” Panga will be our first speaker, addressing “Resilience - The Art of Calm”. She will be sharing about the challenges and triumphs of education during the Covid-19 pandemic based on her personal experiences as a teacher to children of migrant communities.

Millet is a certified educator in early childhood education, preschool, elementary and middle school, as well as ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) and special education.

Our second speaker, Susan McCarley Shepard will be speaking as a health expert, particularly on the challenges faced by people during and after Covid with regards to their mental health. 

Ms. Shepard currently serves as the Deputy Director of Community Relations and Education Services at TERRIFIC, Inc.
