HEALING SESSIONS FOR WOMEN OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

Sunday, March 20th at 2p.m., despite stormy weather that created havoc in southern California, 27 sisters and a gentleman (husband of one of the sisters) joined together in the first of seven series of sessions called "Healing the Brokenhearted Woman,” given by professional life coach Darlene Ann.

In this workshop, Darlene unraveled the mystery of the pained heartaches that many women have lived through and might still be enduring in their daily lives.  She asserted that these burdens are not to make women weak, but to make faith to a loving God stronger.

“There was seriousness in the sisters' faces as she began explaining the process,” said Chairwoman Heidi Iseda, “Then there was a sense of happiness as they began to understand that they are not alone and there is a way to be healed.”

Darlene’s message is grounded in the idea that women’s identity and dignity is not wrapped up in what others or the world might think, say, or even do—but that women’s identity and dignity is the grace and forgiveness of a loving God that sometimes allows pain in women’s lives so that they can be a blessing to others as well as to themselves!

Darlene began her presentation by saying that with her background of molestation from age 7, getting pregnant at 14, had an abortion at 22, married three times, etc. she should be a statistic—but God worked in her life to show her that she can use those difficult and painful experiences to strengthen and help others.

“Some sisters were on the verge of tears,” said Iseda. “Darlene has a right to be angry, resentful, and defeated, because of what happened to her. But with God, her life turned around and now she is working to help others heal from their painful experiences.”

Members were reminded to check out the upcoming National Assembly in August along with the following six sessions to the workshop. Iseda reminded attendees, “We need to be equipped with the knowledge of wisdom of God, because we are His allies. What God can do is unbelievable, but what we can do with God is even more unbelievable.”

A certificate of gratitude was presented to Darlene Ann for her heartfelt and uplifting presentation.  I also presented a certificate of gratitude to our elder sister Sheri Rueter, who is one of the pioneers of southern California WFWP.  She represented all the sisters who have been members for a long time, and I promised we'll gather again so I could give them theirs.

A certificate of gratitude was presented to long-time pioneer of southern California WFWP Sheri Rueter, who represented all the long-time members.

Thank you to everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this event possible!"
