Love for All, Hatred for None

Bridge of Peace and PowerPoint presentation held in Columbus, Ohio, May 4, 2013 On Saturday, May 4th, 2013, the WFWP Columbus chapter held a Bridge of Peace and PowerPoint presentation with the Women's Auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Groveport Ohio. Since last year we have been visiting each other and agreed to hold a Bridge of Peace between our groups, but a convenient time could never be found. Finally, when the leader of the Ahmadiyya group invited us to one of their meetings, we suggested that this would be a wonderful opportunity to have our Bridge of Peace together. She agreed and also invited us to give a PowerPoint presentation about "Women of Faith" which is based on Angelika Selle's "HerStory" presentation. Eleven of our sisters from WFWP Ohio Chapter attended the meeting and we felt so welcomed by the Ahmadiyya women. The atmosphere was very joyful and happy. We all arrived early so that we could meet our host sisters over a lunch and each of us chose our partner for the Bridge. This was really a good idea because we could start a relationship and continue it over the Bridge and hopefully afterwards. Because their women's group has many young women, we asked the co-pastor of our church, Yusun Abrahams, to recruit some of her young friends. So we were a mixed group of old and new and that made it all the more exciting. Margaret Kim asked an older member of the Ahmadiyya group to be her partner and while they were talking together, she found out that this lady was directly related to Genghis Khan! It was nice to know a little about our Bridge partner before we crossed over in reconciliation and love. We were not able to put up one of our…

The Power of Healing Through Feminine Wisdom
May 2nd, 2013
On March 23, the Minneapolis chapter held a group discussion on WFWP USA President Angelika Selle's video presentation, "Her Story." "In the video," according to participant Vicky Pehling, "Mrs. Selle reviewed how the Divine Principle plays a role in WFWP, saying, 'Father and Mother Moon have been teaching parent-ism to overcome conflict.' She also explained the role of Eve in the biblical human Fall, and how Eve's behavior in the past affects women living in the present." Those who attended felt inspired by the message and even came up with ideas on topics that the organization can focus on. Attendees like Mrs. Rose felt that the video expressed the need for women to stand up. "I was thinking that throughout the years, women have been held back from doing things that we are capable of doing," she said. "It has really been women who have been behind many of the world's great achievements. What she [Mrs. Selle] was saying was to use the power that women have. It's groups like this that give us the courage and power to do those great things."

Her Story: A Divine Principle Perspective
April 8th, 2013
In Celebration of Women's History Month, the Ohio Chapter of WFWP held a program called "Her Story: A Divine Principle Perspective". This was modeled after our WFWP USA's President, Angelika Selle's successful program. However, we changed the power point to include founding Mothers of different religions. Thank you to Marcia for working so hard to develop the power point. We had this event on March 23, from 7-9 pm, at 4303 Indianola Ave. Columbus, Ohio. It was a rather last minute decision to have this event; yet all WFWP members worked well together and I am very grateful that everyone came to support the event. Also, I was quite pleased, because the young lady who I was thinking about while preparing the notes for the presentation was the one guest that was in attendance!! We had met previously at our ACLC Prayer Breakfast, and we had a wonderful discussion on our common beliefs, being that Jesus should have married and had children. The evening began by having an Introduction to WFWP, by Thea Schlichting. Her Mother is the WFWP President in Germany. Thea was to the point and gave a very impressive introduction from the heart. It moved all who had come to support this event. Thanks Thea! The power point, Her Story: A Divine Principle Perspective was next on the agenda, given by Caryn Olsson. We had all the major religions covered, with the founding Mothers introduced. The thing that struck me the most is that all religions had men at the fore front. However, we know that behind the most successful man is the woman! In conclusion, I would like to share a quote by Rev. Sun Myung Moon, the co-founder of WFWP. This is from "Resurrection and Liberation of the World's Women Part II. "We should be…

WFWP and UPF DC International Office Introduce The Global Women’s Peace Network in Nation’s Capital
March 5th, 2013
The guests were welcomed with a delicious breakfast at the "Peace Embassy" on Upshur Street in Washington, D.C. on February 9. Nearly 40 concerned women and staff attended, including several supportive men. Mrs. Tomiko Duggan, Vice Chairwoman for Global Women's Peace Network (GWPN) and Director of the International D.C. Office of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), welcomed the guests and gave an explanation of the need for such an organization as the Global Women's Peace Network, which is a project of WFWP, with UPF lending its active support. The purpose of the GWPN is to create a network of women who work together across barriers and territorial lines and, by pooling their expertise, to help relieve the suffering of humankind. With high morals and universal principles of service and a mother's heart of love for others, GWPN can bring like-minded women together to fulfill the unfinished work of the United Nations. Mrs. Duggan introduced Mrs. Angelika Selle, President of Women's Federation of World Peace, USA and the Chairwoman for the GWPN in the U.S. Mrs. Selle gave a truly inspiring PowerPoint presentation on "HerStory", showing historical insights into the need for a women's era. She highlighted the necessity for women's increased leadership at all levels of society to resolve the problems plaguing the people of the world, and to finally establish lasting peace in the human family. One poignant image was the founder, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, herself from Korea, tenderly holding the hand of a small African child. A mother's heart can transcend all obstacles to give healing love. Mrs. Selle's husband, Bob, and their daughter, Tanya, a University of Maryland student, attended the program, a reminder that when family members choose to work together, miracles can occur. After the presentation, each participant was given an opportunity to…

Spirituality - Healing - Service: First "HerStory" Seminar
March 5th, 2013
On Januay 19, some 40 women who gathered for a Women's Federation for World Peace seminar based on the practical philosophy of WFWP Founders the Rev. Sun Myung Moon and his wife Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, with an emphasis on "HerStory," were in for day of education and healing. The theme of the seminar was spirituality and healing in action, particularly as it applies to women's growth and the development of healthy families. Mrs. Angelika Selle, President of Women's Federation for World Peace USA, spoke on "Women as the Turning Point in History," depicting women's history to date, in the context of famous women who were misunderstood or ignored yet had still made a difference. In that context, Mrs. Selle shared about the purpose and founding of WFWP in 1992, when Rev. and Dr. Moon proclaimed the arrival of a New Era of Women and the need for women's leadership worldwide. WFWP USA Vice President Mrs. Juanita Pierre-Louis, in her warm and personal way, introduced the "Principles of Creation" as they apply to physical and spiritual health. The Rev. Dr. Gilda Price spoke on the "Cause of Human Suffering – Unlocking the Secret," passionately explaining how premature and selfish sexual relationships are at the root of societal problems, and how they cause immense suffering to this day.To prove the truth of this, Mr. Richard Panzer, founder and Executive Director of the Institute for Relationship Intelligence, Inc., shared about the sad reality today of young men and women engaging in premature sex and the sad statistics that stem from that. The WFWP Clean Slate curriculum is based on one he developed. The final session dealt with Principles of Restoration and Reconciliation: Women as Healers in This New Age," which was powerfully presented by Mrs. Selle. She went deeply into how…

International President Dr. Lan Young Moon Introduces "Herstory" Lecture Series in New York
March 20th, 2011
It was an afternoon to remember on February 24, 2011, as some 60 women—mothers, sisters, and young women—as well as some gentlemen, gathered at the Lovin' Life Learning Center on 43rd Street in NYC to warmly welcome our international WFWP president. WFWP International had just completed two very successful events at the United Nations on the occasion of a meeting of the Commission on the Status of Women, at which Dr. Lan Young Moon, who is also a university professor in Korea, had delivered opening remarks. The atmosphere was genial as Angelika Selle, WFWP USA president, opened the occasion by saying, "This is to testify to an auspicious and historic moment: to be with our international president, a great woman of God and a beloved 'daughter' of our Founders. Not only has she piloted WFWP from the beginning of the millennium, in 2000, but she has also endured an incredible amount of suffering, sacrifice, and hardship in relation to restoring the original womanhood—as also has our founder, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon." Before Dr. Moon took the podium, a cake was presented in honor of her completing her Ph.D. in Theology! Professor (now Dr.) Moon's big smile and heart reached out to the entire hall, as she took the stage, greeting everyone affectionately and looking young as ever! In her introduction, Dr. Moon emphasized that we live in a truly new era and age—the era of women. She gave a brief overview of her lecture series, entitled "Herstory," which she has been sharing with thousands of women in Korea and elsewhere in Asia over the last several years. The lectures begin by recounting history from the very beginning, from when the first woman fell, or broke away from God, and examining the resultant course that women since that time have…
