WFWP-USA Donated Relief to Earthquake Victims in Nuwakot & Rasuwa

Organized by: Women's Federation for World Peace-Nepal

WFWP was the first organization to reach Nuwakot and Rasuwa to support the earthquake victims.

WFWP made a point to reach remote areas that are often overlooked in relief aid efforts.

WFWP distributed rice in the Nuwakot District in the village of Gangate to families whose homes were totally destroyed. Nuwakot is 80 km from Kathmandu.

  • 30 kg (66 lbs) rice bags for 75 families

After Nuwakot the team of WFWP board members travelled to Rasuwa to distribute tents. Rasuwa District is 120 km from Kathmandu.

  • Tents: 50 families

In Conclusion:

WFWP Nepal felt very proud to reach places that were not getting relief from any organization or the government.

All the people that got support were very happy and very thankful to WFWP-USA and WFWP-Nepal.

We could help only a few families so far, although many need more support. WFWP USA will continue to send donations directly to WFWP Nepal to reach those in need. If you would like to donate to these ongoing efforts, click the "Donate Now" button below!
