SWEARING INTO OFFICE -- A FAMILY AFFAIR

It was my first experience and a great honor to witness the swearing-in ceremony of local government officials in the City of Mesa, Arizona. I had been invited by our friend Councilman Ryan D. Winkle to attend.

I was very inspired to see that each of these newly elected officials: Councilman Mark Freeman, Councilman Jeremy Whittaker and Councilman Ryan D. Winkle were each sworn in by their Mothers. I had never heard of that before! Then Mayor John Giles was sworn in by each of his children who read him the Oath of Office. It was a beautiful event and, surprisingly, truly a family affair!

What touched me most was the influence of their mothers in raising such accomplished sons who could become such great assets to the nation! And now with their wife's support each of them can do greater things together!

Being the chairwoman of the Arizona Chapter of WFWP, I now am more inspired to bring awareness of our responsibilities as women, wives, and mothers. We truly have such a huge responsibility in creating our families to become wonderful citizens of this world!

We extend huge congratulations to each of those men who took office, and to the organizers of that beautiful event! This should be broadcasted in the news to inspire more people to do their best and to demonstrate how we can all work together to create a better world, one community at a time.
