Nora Spurgin —First President of WFWP USA—Featured in Local News

Editor’s Note: Mrs. Nora Spurgin, WFWP USA’s first national president, and author of the book Circle of Angels  is still active with her local community in Clermont, Florida, serving, inspiring and uplifting people around her. Recently she was featured in her neighborhood magazine Clermont Neighbors which published an article Nora wrote about her book. She was happily surprised when one of her friends wrote to her the following inspiring story, which came as a result of her reading the article and buying the book: Circle of Angels. Enjoy!

In an effort to share my Circle of Angels book with my local community, I inquired about submitting an article to Clermont Neighbors, a local magazine.  The editor responded very positively and asked me to complete a questionnaire – which I did.  The result was a substantial, feature article with a cover photo.

An Angelic Miracle (A story shared by Nora Spurgin)

A friend from my quilters club, shared the following amazing story with members of our club:

After reading the article in the Clermont Neighbors magazine, she decided to buy a copy of Circle of Angels through Amazon.  The book arrived just before she left to visit her daughter in Virginia, and she took it with her to read on the airplane. When she arrived, her daughter tearfully informed her that her one-year-old son (Mary’s grandson) had just been diagnosed with a mass on his head. The CAT scan and all tests showed that he would need immediate surgery.

Shocked by the news, Mary immediately thought of the Circle of Angels and felt that God had put it in her hands in this time of need. She shared it with her daughter and they prayed for a circle of angels to surround her grandson and guide the surgery.  They also contacted her church and asked the congregation to join in sending circles of angels to help.

The surgery was scheduled for the following day.  The little one-year-old boy had his head shaved and was fully prepped. The surgical team wheeled him into the operating room, and the family prayed. A short time later, the surgeon returned and reported, “I will not be operating.  I don’t have an explanation for this, but there is no mass. After thorough examination and tests, I find that there is nothing there to remove.”

Mary, her family and the church congregation rejoiced. “This is a miracle”, they thanked God and the angels for intervening. With a face glowing in gratitude, Mary shared this beautiful story with me and our whole quilters group.

I also thank God and am more committed than ever to share this helpful information wherever I go.  Through the book, I have been able to deepen many friendships in my community.
