The members of the Minnesota Chapter of WFWP convened bright and early on the morning of July 12 to reconnect with those who had recently crossed the Bridge of Peace together during the ceremony in April. About 25 people attended this event to explore "mother-daughter relationships." A light breakfast and lunch were served.

Mrs. Eri Pehling gave a presentation about the mother-daughter relationship being that of parent and child and not that of friends. She pointed out that individuals from different generations do not experience life in the same way. Each generation is unique and can learn from the other. She also talked about the importance of building God-centered families. Next, Mrs. Gudrun Gavin, who doesn't have a daughter of her own, spoke about her unique experiences—with her six sons and six daughters-in-law!

Mrs. Jennifer Victor-Larson, a new member of WFWP and the founder of herosearch.org, gave an impassioned presentation about her organization. She is interested in working with WFWP to help bring awareness of and to tackle human trafficking. She is a concerned mother of two young daughters and also has a young niece. As such, she feels passionate about helping those unfortunate girls who fall victim to this sad and serious problem.

Our WFWP chapter here in Minnesota is lucky to find another jewel who exemplifies the heart and the vision of what WFWP stands for. She is also happy to have found like-minded women who have strong determination to bring peace and joy to families and the world.

She offered to come back here soon to give more information and bring up the discussion on how different women's groups can work together. The presentations were followed by a question and answer session. The participants were engaged and enthusiastic about getting involved and in working against human trafficking.

Several other guests spoke about some upcoming events, including the upcoming Parents Day celebration.

After the serious presentations were over, participants were given manicures and flowery henna designs. All in all, it was an afternoon offering inspiration for each and every one of those gathered.
